Hello Beautiful people out there!!,

Choosing a right foundation for your skin tone is really really important and at the same time quite tricky.Wrong foundation colors can make your skin look like cakey, and over the top.

When we buy a foundation, we need to remember these 6 basic rules :

1) A foundation is needed, to make your skin look flawless and glowing. So try to buy a foundation color, which is near to your Original Skin Tone. Now what is your original skin and how to match foundation with your original skin tone, we will see in a minute.

2) If you have good skin condition, then medium coverage foundation is sufficient for you.But if you have a highly pigmented skin or marks, black patches on you skin, you need a full coverage foundation.Full coverage foundation covers the entire face eliminating blemishes and scars. Creating an even tone to your face, making it brighter and glowing. For daily basis I would recommend medium coverage foundation.

3) Dear, make sure your foundation formula is light on your skin, helps your skin to breathe. Some foundations have nice formula to protect your skin, we will discuss it more.

4) Make sure the formula does not create any allergic reaction on your skin. For e.g- Most people go crazy about MAC studio fix foundation series but that gives me Red Rashes on my facial skin. So, beware of that and pick up a formulation which suits your skin.

5) Try to buy foundations from stores and not online because the colors look different onscreen and in person. So in person is always better.

6) Don’t afraid of spending money on foundations. Because as they make direct contact with our skin, it’s very necessary to have one which is good for your skin. So if you want to spend on only one makeup product, I would highly recommend, that should be your foundation!

How to recognize your Foundation??

MAC

Gone are those days, when women used to stay inside home away from direct sunlight and pollution, they hardly needed any foundations to cover up flaws on skin. But now, we have to go out every single day and thus get direct contact with sun and pollution or wrong facial products which makes our skin darker, pigmented and our original skin tone goes away over time. How sad is that!! Sad smile..

But don’t worry, The foundation will do its magic. We just need to recognize our skin tone and get a foundation color matching to your original skin tone as far as possible. So here are the steps :

1) Stand in a doorway or outside in sun,Take a mirror to match the foundation color with your skin tone.Artificial lighting or yellow lighting often gives a wrong assessment of skin tone.

2) For Pale or pinkish skin tone look for a  Ivory or light beige color to neutralize skintone. Asian girls or women having medium skintone get the foundations having warm undertone like beige or olive. Stick with shades labeled warm, medium, or golden. Dark skin can range from as nut brown or cappuccino shaded of colors.

3) Apply color on your jawline to get that perfect matching foundation. There is a myth, that foundation color should be matching to your wrist or hand color, which is wrong!!. So, try a small amount of foundation on your jawline and see if it is matching with your skin color.
